GR8 Faucet Script: Manage Site Navigation

Create menu destinations, group links and adjust their display order without publishing the linked content.

These instructions apply to GR8 Faucet Script 70.1.93. The controls described are in your own installation; this public guide does not grant administrator access.

Content → Navigation manages this installation’s site links. Active, eligible destinations also appear in the shared footer. Creating or enabling a link does not publish a Page or grant access to a Doc.

Add A Link

  1. Choose Add Link. Enter the visible Label and choose the link type: an internal page, an external destination or a dropdown group.

  2. For an internal page, choose the existing eligible Page. For an external link, enter its valid destination. For a dropdown, create the group before adding its children.

  3. Choose a parent dropdown if this link belongs inside a group. Leave the parent empty for a top-level destination.

  4. Choose Open link in for the target behavior and save. Check the resulting Label, Destination and Active state in the table. Type cannot be changed after creation; choose it deliberately.

Arrange And Check Links

Use Move Up and Move Down before Edit to move a link among its siblings. Edit changes the existing destination; the Active toggle controls whether it is offered to visitors. A dropdown with children cannot be deleted until those children have been removed or reassigned.

Check the public menu and footer in a separate visitor session. Draft Pages and restricted or malformed Help articles stay excluded even when their navigation record is active. If a destination is missing, check its publication and access state before changing the menu.
