Faucet Installation

GR8 Faucet Script: Configure Shortlink Providers

Configure one faucet or reuse a shared template without overwriting existing private credentials.

These instructions apply to GR8 Faucet Script 70.1.73. The controls described are in your own installation; this public guide does not grant administrator access.

System → Shortlinks receives its catalog from GR8. Faucet owners do not connect to SLM or create an SLM catalog key. A listed provider is not a guarantee of payment or acceptance of faucet traffic.

Configure One Faucet

  1. Check the faucet name above the table. Use Change Faucet if you need a different one.

  2. In System → Shortlinks → Faucet Settings, click the provider name to open its website. Sign into your provider account or create one if needed. Check that it accepts your traffic and payout country.

  3. Find that provider’s API or Developer page and copy your personal API Key. Each provider has its own console; GR8 cannot issue that key for you.

  4. Return to GR8 Faucet, choose Edit on that provider and paste the key into Credentials. Saved means a key already exists; a blank replacement keeps it.

  5. Set Daily Views Per User to the visits you allow for that provider. It is not the number of visits needed to complete one shortlink.

  6. Leave Selection Weight at 0 for random selection. Positive weights affect relative selection probability; they do not define a sequential order or reorder the table.

  7. Choose Save Shortener, then enable it using the table toggle. An incomplete provider cannot be enabled. Confirm Saved and Enabled in the table.

Reuse A Shared Template

  1. Choose Shared Templates. Edit the provider and enter the API Key, views and selection weight you want to reuse.

  2. Save, then choose whether applied copies should be enabled using the table toggle. Saving or enabling a template does not change existing faucets.

  3. Choose Apply to Faucet for the faucet named above the table, or Apply to All for every faucet in this installation. Read and confirm the application dialog.

  4. Read the result: added configurations receive independent encrypted copies. Existing configurations are kept, including disabled providers and existing private keys.

  5. Return to System → Shortlinks → Faucet Settings for each faucet to review or customize its copy. Later template edits do not overwrite applied copies. New faucets need an explicit application.

GR8 Faucet never automatically promotes a faucet’s private key into a shared template. Remove Key disables only the selected configuration; removing a template key does not erase copies already applied to faucets.

If Setup Does Not Work

A disabled toggle usually means the key or daily views are missing. Reload after a changed-settings warning rather than overwriting another administrator’s update. Saving a key proves only that it was stored, not that the provider accepted a link or paid for traffic.

If a requested shortlink has an uncertain provider result, do not repeatedly start it or clear the reservation. Keep its support reference and investigate the original attempt. Never include API Keys or signed callback links in a support report.

GR8 Support

For a missing catalog provider, use GR8 Support. The script does not submit provider keys directly to SLM. These instructions describe the installed adapter and template behavior; provider-specific console instructions must be checked against that provider’s current documentation.
